Jackfruit Dessert Recipe
Jackfruit is the fruit of the season now. Who wouldn’t like the seasonal fruit dishes? Here is yet another Indian recipe, a jackfruit recipe.
So, before the season gets over, I am sharing this recipe of
jack fruit dessert.
Ingredients:
- 8-10 cups of chopped jack fruit pieces.
- Half cup grated coconut.
- 1 cup green gram.
- Jaggery as per taste.
- Clove, cardamom,
- Water for boiling.
- A pinch of salt to remove the suppleness.
Recipe:
- Add chopped jack fruits and green gram to a vessel. Add some water and boil over low flame. (Preferably soak the green gram in water before hand for about one hour.)
- One the jack fruit and green gram is half boiled, add jaggery and continue boiling.
- In between add some cloves and cardamom powder for the aroma and the added taste.
- Meanwhile, in a blender make a fine paste of the grated coconut by adding some water.
- Once everything is boiled and cooked, add the coconut paste and boil for another 2 minutes.
- Do not boil for long after adding the coconut paste, since coconut tends to ooze its oil on boiling for long. So, just a minute is perfect.
Jackfruit dessert is ready to be served. Serve hot with half
a spoon of homemade ghee topped.
