Nutrition facts is
the main thing that everyone expect from any of the recipe. When I prepare a
recipe with nutrition facts I am the happiest lady. There are actually many
healthy potato recipes.
My today’s potato
wedge recipe is healthy or not, I am not sure of it. But it is definitely
tasty.
So, carry on reading.
Ingredients:
2 large potatoes.
Cooking oil about 10 spoon full.
Spices for the flavour and aroma - asafoetida powder, pepper powder, Schwartz rosemary, Schwartz
thyme, cinnamon powder, Schwartz paprika, Schwartz basil.
Salt as per taste.
Lemon (optional)
Procedure:
Cut potato into half. Makes medium sized slices from the
halves of the potato.
Heat everyday cooking oil in a thick bottomed pan.
To the hot oil, add cumin seeds and potato slices.
Add turmeric powder and mix well.
Allow for few seconds while mixing.
Now add your choice of spices to the frying potato slices.
I have used asafoetida powder, pepper powder, rosemary,
thyme, cinnamon powder, paprika, dried basil. All these spices are very
aromatic and gives great flavour. Most
of these aromatic spices are from Schwartz.
And finally not to miss salt.
Fry over low flame until the potato slices changes in
colour.
Once the wedges are done put them on a tissue paper to
absorb any excess oil. If needed squeeze a little lemon juice on top of the
wedges.
This is a perfect Sunday evening time pass snack when you
are watching a movie.
