The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Strawberry Review

I can never have enough lip balms. I have another TBS Lip Balm.

The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Strawberry Review+chapstick

Product Description:
Our cult lip balm in a pot. Gives colour, flavor and moisture for more kissable lips.
  • Red tint
  • Shine finish
  • Fruity strawberry flavor
My experience with The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Strawberry:

Package: This lip balm comes in a plastic small circular tub. The tub has a screw open able cap. The plastic seems of great quality. The screwing thread of the cap is very easy and it does not get stuck while removing or closing.  Finger needs to be dipped in to remove the lip balm. Just that the finger needs to be clean.

Nature: The lip balm is very thin. There is a light tint of red color in it. When spread across the lips, it gives some amount of light color to the lips. Lips do not feel waxy on using this lip balm.

Fragrance: Smells like real fruit, very tempting and catching.

Moisturizing power: Since it is thin in nature, it is not a great lip balm for heavy dry lips. It makes the lips soft initially and stays so for some time. Reapplication is needed if softness is to be retained for whole day.

Staying power: Not long enough for keeping the lips soft. It fades off very soon.

For me this is a fancy lip balm. I don’t expect it to provide too much of moisturizing. I use this for the shiny tint is gives to the lips. And also I use it with the matte lipsticks. The thin lip balm along with the matte lipstick makes a good match altogether.

And my actual choice of lip balm is that it should be heavy and waxy. I use loads of it before sleep and leave it overnight to find my lips super soft.

Final word: TBS lip balm is a day use tinted lip balm which provides average moisturizing to the lips along with the shine and reddish tint too. Yes, I recommend this product. A value for money.

Price: Rs.210 for 10 ml

Pros of The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Strawberry:
  • Thin texture of the lip balm.
  • Very quality packaging.
  • Attractive shade of red tint in the lip balm.
  • Does not dry the lips while fading.
  • Does not make the lips heavy, thus fit for daily use.
  • Fruity smell.
Cons of The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm Strawberry:
  • Finger dipping for using the product.
  • Not a heavy moisturizer for dry lips
