Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Liner Velvet Beige Review and Swatches
Lip pencils are a hit and miss
product for me. In my beauty regime, I like to use the lip liners after I apply
lipstick to define the border of the lips. But, I am always in a rush and I
always end up not using lip pencils. :(
This pencil has lasted me for so
long!!!!! I have no memory of when I bought. I guess it is time I throw it now,
owing to the expiry of its life. So, before I throw, I quickly had to click and
swatch it.

The shade is a brownish pink with
shimmers. It almost looks colorless on my lips due to the pigmentation I have
got. I like the color. But I don’t like the shiny shimmers, because they spread
across my whole lips. I hate the thought of swallowing cosmetics shimmers.
This is a sharpening pencil which
means when the tip goes blunt, it requires sharpening. And this leads to lot of
wastage. I feel half of the pencil has gone waste by just turning it around in
the sharpener.

I have experienced uneven
sharpening of the wood that surrounds the color tip. Or should I confess I do
not know how to sharpen a pencil. I guess my nephew will do the job better. :P.

Lip Liner Velvet Beige:
- Creamy texture of the pencil.
- A very natural looking lip pencil color.
- Glides easily on the borders of the lips.
- Shimmery product.
Cons of Maybelline Colorsensational
Lip Liner Velvet Beige:
- Sharpening leads to lot of wastage of the colored pencil tip.
- Shimmers get scattered everywhere on the lips.
Recommendation: Texture and quality
wise this is a very good product. But it has minor tweaks that I guess can be
handled with some patience.
