I have been on and off from this happy space.
Same old reason, preparations for festivals, guests at home,
me and family visiting relatives, in between I squeezed few quick short trips
here and there, amidst all this; handling my tornado toddler.
To update you all with something very exciting; I visited
the cultural and traditional city; Mysore.
Mysore is a place where you can visit
during any time of the year. Navratri is a special occasion in Mysore. The age
old glorious royal celebration is in practice even today. The 10 days looks
great celebration and illumination of the city.
The entire city glows with decorative lamps/lights. The streets, trees, branches, shrubs, buildings, tree hangings all sparkle in lightings. The decoration is a good competition for Christmas Lightings at London.
Even if you cannot witness the Jumbo Sawari which takes
place on Vijayadashami, you should at least witness the lighting in the entire
city throughout these 10 days.
Leaving you all with few captures I could get hold of the
Dasara lightings at Mysore that happened a couple of week ago.

Have you visited Mysore especially during the days of Navaratri?
Mysore Dussehra always attracts lot of tourists.
You should be prepared for the following if you plan to
visit Mysore during Dasara time:
- Heavy and uncontrollable traffic.
- Lot of patience.
- Mad people walking around the streets of Mysore.
- Roam around the entire city by your own car or hired cab. Make sure you have covered the entire city. Every street is decorated differently.
- Photography is one hard work during this time. Click 100s of photos, you will get a few good ones.
- You should have a powerful camera for the night time photography. (Unfortunately I do not own a great one.)
