Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila Review

I am a great fan of Patanjali products. It is the so called swadeshi brand that claims to give natural products at a very nominal and cheap rate.

Today is the review of Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila hair oil.

Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila Hair Oil+hair oil

Package:
This hair oil comes in a brownish maroon bottle that is semi transparent in nature. The bottle has a red screw cap. But it has no stopper at all. Once you screw open the cap, the bottle is wide open and lot of care is to be taken in using the oil bottle.

Nature:
The oil is thin and of course oily in texture. It is not like those usual sticky hair oils. It is definitely thin in nature. And it is reddish brown in color.

Fragrance:
Oh..This is where it will fail in competition with other hair oils in the market. It does not smell great. The fragrance is something like those ayurvedic bitter medicines.

If you know about those ‘arishta’ medicines then you will understand what I am saying. I know many of you have abig taste for fragrance and aroma. Then this hair oil is not for you. If you do not mind the typical medicinal smell then go ahead. The oil will not harm in any other way.

How Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila works on my Hair:
This is indeed a good hair conditioning oil. I apply it throughout my scalp at least 4 hours before head shower. It gives good moisturizing to the scalp and hair too looks super shiny and soft for the next 2 days.

Then on it is back to its dry form. Dry hair is the gift of the dirty polluted environment of Bangalore :(
Overall, apart from the fragrance story, this hair oil is a good pick. I like it and like the way it works on my hair.

Rating: 4/5

Pros of Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila:
  • Semi transparent bottle which shows the remaining quantity of hair oil.
  • Herbal hair oil.
  • Moisturizes the scalp.
  • Makes hair strands soft and silky
  • Reddish brown attractive color of the oil.
  • Very cheap in price.

Cons of Patanjali Divya Kesh Taila:
  • The major drawback is the smell of the hair oil.
  • The bottle has no stopper at the open end.
  • Not a travel friendly bottle. Well, the oil can be transferred easily into any other leak-free bottle.
Recommendation: Yes. You will get soft shiny hair strands and moisturized conditioned scalp atleast for 2 days after applying. The third you can apply again. This way you will keep the dirt, sweat and trouble out of your head.

Thanks for reading. Stay happy all of you. :)
