Instant Rava Rotti Recipe – Easy Breakfast Ideas

We ladies can never have enough of breakfast ideas. Every
morning a perfect breakfast and a cup of coffee are the ones which build up the
mood for the rest of the day.
Here is a quick recipe using semolina. It is like an instant
mix dosa recipe.
All you have to do is bring out few of the ingredients, mix
well, adjust the consistency and pour on hot dosa pan. Your preparation for the
day’s breakfast is over.
Ingredients:
- One cup medium semolina. Some of them also call it as Bombay Rava.
- One cup curd. Preferably sour
- Chopped onion
- Grated carrot
- Freshly Grated coconut
- Curry leaves finely chopped
- Coriander leaves finely chopped
- Salt as per taste
- Asafoetida
- Butter (optional)
- Chopped ginger and green chilli (both optional)
Method of Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients together. Now set this aside for 10
minutes so that everything gets mixed up well.
Usually the mixture is made thick like a dough. It is then
easy to pat on the pan. Thus it is called “Rava Rotti”. Patting a thin rotti
needs experience.
Instead you can thin down the mixture by adding some water
and bring it to the consistency of the dosa batter. Pour the batter on a hot tava and spread it to form a dosa. Add few drops of ghee for enhancing the delicious taste.
Serve hot Rava Dosa with jaggery, or coconut chutney, or MTR
Chutney powder, or any sambar of your choice.
When it comes to serving this rava dosa to kids, you might cut
them in the desired shapes using the cutters available.
