Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal Review
I usually use home made kajal. My mother does it every time
I empty my tiny box of home made kajal.
But I also have ready made kajals for a back up in my vanity
bags. In case I misplace my home made kajal box; that is why I keep these conical
tubes of ready made kajals. One such kajal from my collection I am writing
today is Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal.
My experience with Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal:
Package: This kajal is packed in the style of lipstick tubes,
the twist up types. The tube is red in color and the twist up base for the tube
is black. The tube has a very tiny transparent plastic pressing cap. The black
kajal is molded in the form of a cone.
The cap is very irritating since it is small. The press lock
is not strong enough to keep it sealed to the tube. I have seen many times that
the cap gets separated from the tube when carried in bag. This kajal is not a
travel friendly one.
Nature: The kajal is intensely black and looks very dark
when applied to the eyes. It is soft on the water line. It does not hurt or
irritate my eyes. The kajal does not even smudge much.
I sometimes apply a light line on my upper lash line instead
of eyeliner. But it smudges a little on the eye lid. :-(.
Pigmentation: The
intensity of the black kajal is very dark and highly pigmented. It is shiny
black. The pigmentation of the dark kajal stays on the eyes for pretty long.
Staying power: After about 3 hours the darkness of the kajal
begins to fade. But the eyes have the kajal applied look for the whole long
day. This is more than sufficient for my taste of darkness of kajal on my eyes.
If you want all time freshly applied look of kajal, then you may have to
reapply at least twice again in the day.

Rating: 3.5/5
Pros of Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal:
- A conical form of kajal which makes it easy for applying both on the water line and upper lash line.
- A twist up tube package.
- Not highly priced.
- Easily available in most of the stores.
- Dark pigmentation of the kajal.
- Stays on for day long though it fades with time.
Cons of Lotus Herbals Natural Kajal:
- The cap is very tiny.
- Not a ravel friendly package since the cap gets separated easily.
- Reapplication of kajal is required for intense dark look throughout the day.
- Not suitable for upper lash line application, it smudges.
Recommendation: Yes. This is a good pick. Since I always
turn towards my box of homemade kajal, I will not need to buy this again. This
will last me for long.
I will share about the home made kajal very soon.
