The herb Amruthaballi is a boon for mankind. The name
“amritha” is titled for its excellent healing and medicinal properties signifying
it gives life back. The climbing shrub spreads extensively with greyish white
stem and heart shaped leaves mostly grown in tropical regions of India and Sri Lanka.
The medicinal shrub is widely used in Ayurvedic science termed
as Guduchi/Giloy and today we can find its capsules, juice and powder available
in markets

Amruthaballi For Flu and Fever:
Ingredients:
Finger sized 2 amruthaballi stem
4 to 5 medium sized leaves
One spoon pepper
Procedure:
Smash all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle to a rough
paste.
Now transfer the smashed to a clean vessel and pour 2 cups
of water. Let it boil till the solution is half decreased.
Once cooled filter all the residue and collect the clear
herbal solution. The solution is more of bitter taste as the king of bitters is
added.
Benefits:
The herbal solution is an antibiotic for cold and fever. Regular
drinking thrice a week improves immunity against common cold and fever, also
dangerous life risks fevers like swine flu, reduces allergies, sore throat and
skin infections.

Smash both the ingredients and boil in 2 cups of water till
it reduces to half.
Benefits:
Dosage: Divide one glass of the solution to 3 parts. Drinking the
solution 3 times a day daily reduces blood sugar level.
AmruthaBalli For wounds:
Make a paste of amruthaballi leaves and neem leaves. Apply this
over wounds, cuts or insect bites. Its antimicrobial and antiseptic properties
heals wounds faster.
