Free hand designs are a great choice to draw. Usually the
patterns are picked up from nature, the most common being flowers, leaves,
peacocks, swan, mango, burning lamp, swirling tendrils and so on.
Rangoli is a beautiful art which involves drawing floral or
traditional patterns near the entrance of a house or on a floor in the living
room. It indicates a grand welcoming to Goddess Lakshmi.
Usually the patterns are drawn using a chalk piece, white/colored
rangoli powder, coarse rice flour, or sand. No Indian festival is complete
without rangoli patterns at home.
Rangoli involves dotted designs or free hand designs as per
the expertise. With practice, the flow of creating designs increases and the
patterns get more innovative.
Here are few free hand rangoli patterns which you can try
for every day drawing. These designs are easy, simple, quickly do able and fit
for beginners too.
