Corn Flakes Mixture - Easy Chivda in 10 mins - Video

Monsoon has arrived and we need really something spicy and crispy to munch at our tea time. Compared to other fried snacks, the corn flakes mixture is quite healthy and requires very little oil.  The yellow-colored plain corn flakes are deep-fried and the spices are sprinkled over them while warm. The best part is, the recipe is so simple and requires very fewer ingredients.

How To Make Corn Flakes Mixture?

Ingredients:

Plain yellow corn flakes
Coconut oil
Groundnuts
Roasted chana dal
Curry leaves
Salt
Powdered sugar
Chilly powder

Procedure:

  • Heat coconut oil in a deep pan.
  • Once the oil is hot, fry groundnuts, channa dal, and curry leaves. 
  • When the groundnuts turn brownish, add a handful of corn flakes to the pan.
  • The corn flakes spread wide and turn crispy within few seconds.
  • Remove the fried ingredients and repeat the same.
  • Spread them in tissue paper.
  • Take a deep vessel, add salt, powdered sugar, and chilly powder.  Mix the fried ingredients along with spices gently without breaking the corn flakes.
  • Corn Flakes Mixture is ready.


You can alter the recipe in your way. Mix any of your favorite spices and ingredients to enjoy the taste. 

Note: Store the mixture in an airtight box.
