Bangles:
Bangles:
We find that the wrist part is the most active portion in humans. The friction produced by the bangles worn on the wrist part increases blood circulation and the energy released by the skin is again reverted to own body due to the circularly shaped bangles. Also, the pressure points in the wrist area pressed by the bangles maintain hormonal balance.
Why Glass Bangles?
Glass bangles absorb pure environs from the atmosphere and radiate them to the body attracting positive energy. And the sound produced by the glass releases negative energy from the body. Plastic or any metal bangles are known to absorb negative energy from atmosphere causing distress in the wearer.
Nose Pin:
Nose pin pierced on the left nostril of young/old girls helps in regulating their monthly periods and reduces the menstrual pain. The nerves in the left nostril are directly linked to the female reproductive organ that helps easy childbirth lessening the pain.
Bindi:
Do you think bindi is just a decorative material? It would be a kid’s play if it is thought so. Bindi worn in Indian culture has amazing facts.
Bindi worn at the center of the two eyebrows is the point where a majority of the body nerves meet. According to the yoga science, this location is also known as the third eye where the ‘ajna chakra’ is positioned. This spot which encompasses eyes, brain, pineal gland, and pituitary gland is a center of knowledge, enlightens intuition and awareness, relieves headache and sinuses. It also is known to improve the functioning of sense organs.
The Material used for Bindi:
Now, this is an important factor for modernization. Today women apply chemically glued designer bindi which is sure to produce a negative effect on our mind. Bindi/Kumkum has to be in the purest form for the awakening of the third eye. Kumkum made out of turmeric, lime and saffron keep away from infections, absorbs logged mucous in the forehead thus relaxing from a headache and sinus.
Spiritually lime and turmeric turn bright red which retains the positive energy of your body making you mentally strong.
Ear Ring:
Ear piercing on a particular nerve improves eyesight in both boys and girls. In girls, it improves the functioning of the reproductive organ.
Toe Ring:
Toe ring worn on the second toe provide acupressure effect that improves the uterine health increasing the chances of conception and regulates the menstrual cycle. Toe ring worn on both feet is known to treat many gynecological problems. The silver toe ring touches the earth and silver metal absorbs the polar energy from ground transferring them to a woman’s body. Also, earlier it was a practice for unmarried girls to wear a toe ring on their third toe to ease the menstrual pain which custom is almost dead these days.
High amounts of body heat are radiated out through hands and legs. The silver anklets they revert the energy and boosts the immune system.
Flowers:
Flowers are loved by women, especially in south India where women adorn hanging jasmine flowers to their hair. Flowers like rose and hibiscus are tucked amid of jasmine strands. We are aware of today’s aromatherapy for calming and as an antidepressant. Aromatherapy uses plant extracts and artificial fragrances which do not serve the purpose and pricey too. Instead of wearing aromatic fresh jasmine flower has healing power, provides mental awareness, reduces nervousness. It acts as a natural sedative for sleep disorders.
Why Gold/Silver ornament?
Gold- Gold reacts well with the body energy, absorbing positive radiations from the surrounding. The metal is known to destroy harmful germs in the body thus improving body health. That is why gold ornaments are worn in upper parts of the body.
Silver- silver metal worn in the lower parts of the body reacts well with earth’s energy preventing the negative radiations.
Why women are forced to wear ornaments?
Looking into the science behind ornaments it is clear to us that ornaments are not a dumb tradition, rather a boon for health. Moreover, since a girl undergoes a lot of physical and mental changes, they are more advised to wear.
Why men do not wear ornaments?
Men do wear ornaments which can be seen in villagers today. How can we expect today’s men to wear ornaments while the women being beauty lovers themselves are running away? Otherwise, almost all ornaments like bangles, chain, earring, toe ring in the first toe, flowers were adorned by men earlier.
Why widows are detached from ornaments?
Widows are not made to detach all ornaments. They are made to remove only the ornaments like nose pin and toe ring which are more linked to reproductive organs, as widows had no concept of remarriage.
I know it is easy to write on customs, but difficult to practice when the world is turning opposite. It does not look formal to wear all these jewelry while on work, but let us practice and respect them at our leisure time and occasions for our better living.
