While Mysore Dasara brings one or the other new attractions every year during the festive season of Navratri; the princely state never fails to attract visitors and tourists across the globe.
This year 2021 (amidst the slowing down of covid cases in Karnataka state) people from other districts of the state have been leaving their footsteps in Mysore right from the early days of the festival.
Mysore Dasara is celebrated as 'Nada Habba' - The grand festival of the state by Karnataka Government. Also the private celebrations and festive rituals of Dasara by the royal Wodeyar family gains much respect. The eagerness to catch a glimpse amongst the native Mysoreans reaches its peak.
This year, the rail museum has caught much attention following the splendid illuminations of all the coaches, wagons, carriages, locomotives and other vintage outdoor exhibits. The joyful ride on the Toy Train is another addon to this prime landmark in Mysore during the Dasara season.
Post Dasara2021, on popular demand and keeping in mind the tourist rush Karnataka CM extended the Dasara Illumination till 24October2021.
