Spicy Aloo capsicum Sabji


Dishes with the combination of aloo tastes always the best. Boil or fry them, both will be mouth watering. Even Deep frying them like aloo pakoda also is a very tasty spice.  I got this recipe from a TV channel show. Found it quite easy and tried myself :)

Ingredients for Aloo capsicum Sabji

  • 4 medium sized Aloo
  • 3 capsicum
  • Mustard, curry leaves, urad dal
  • Grated coconut
  • ! spoon coriander
  • ½ spoon jeera
  • Red chilli, Tamarind
  • Ghee
  • Pinch of turmeric and Salt to taste

Peel potatoes and chop them into small pieces. Also slice capsicum and keep both aside.

Take a pan and add 2 spoons of ghee. Heat in a low flame.
Add mustard, urad dal and curry leaves.



After the mustard splitters add chopped potatoes and salt. Let fry for long.

Take a mixture jar and grind coriander, jeera , tamarind, red chilli, turmeric and grates of coconut together without adding water.  Let the grinded mix be dry and powdery.

Once the potatoes are half fried, add capsicum and fry them both till golden brown.

Now add the masala grinded , and mix them all together evenly.  
Let it mix well for 5 to 10 minutes in low flame.

Serve hot with puri or chapati.

The recipe is quite simple and tasty and quite spicy. I served my family with hot chapattis for breakfast.
