Redesigning My Old Saree-Blouse with Trendy Peacock Design Embroidery
Every one’s
cupboard has those old sarees, old blouses/shirts, old salwar
suits/kurtis/anarkalis, and lot more; all pushed back and never pulled out for
at least several years.
I have my
sarees and blouses in that very same state. Reasons apart.
Recently when
I was planning to buy new designer saree, I just thought of checking on
saree-colors which I already have and tick mark off the ones I shouldn’t zero
on. This just brought me back to square-one and shake off the plan of buying
any new saree.
Instead, the
urge to use those sarees which have been in my collection for long became
stronger.
Here is how
to redesign your old, boring, plain looking saree-blouse with latest and
beautiful designs and patterns.
How to make
a beautiful peacock design on saree blouse
Collect few
metal strings, zardosi strings, golden zari thread, fevicryl fabric glue, some
sparkly crystal stones, colourful kundan stones and many other things of your
choice that bring out a beautiful pattern.
Arrange and
stick the strings/other decorative material to form peacock’s body. Use fabric
glue to trace the pattern of peacock’s body and then stick the strings. Let it
dry for about 15 minutes.
The size of neck,
face and feathers on the peacock’s head needs to be adjusted to suit the body
size.
The tail feathers
can be made unique in many creative ways. It spreads vastly to cover up the back
of the blouse.
The sleeves of
the saree-blouse are another segment which can be decorated to make the entire
look very grand.
A hanging
lifts up the overall look and brings a beautiful change entirely.
