DIY: Homemade Kajal - Video

Kajal is an ancient eye cosmetic used by women to decorate their eyes. In India Kajal is also used to apply bindi for new born and kids. Moreover it has a major role in hurry dress up. Just swipe a kajal to your eyes and the watch the glowing look. The market available kajal is filled with so many chemicals and preservatives which may cause eye allergies. It was traditionally prepared at home in olden days with pure cow's ghee. The procedure is quite easy and simple.

DIY: Homemade Kajal


Ingredients:

Ghee lamp

Procedure:

Take a clean copper plate and two equal sized cups to use as a stand.

Light the ghee lamp and place it in between the two cups. 

Now keep the plate over the two cups just above the lamp so as the carbon gets collected in the plate.

Let the thick carbon collect for about 5 to 10minutes.

Now scrape the collected carbon to a clean box and add a drop of ghee. Mix well to make a thick black paste. 

Chemical free Homemade Kajal is ready.  Safe and hygiene eye cosmetic for all ages. 

Remember adding more ghee makes the kajal watery and smudges all over. One drop is just sufficient for a perfect kajal.
