There are a host of health claims about wheatgrass. Many claim that it has power to combat many 
everyday health ailments including cough, cold, skin conditions, fever, and digestive problems. 

Wheatgrass also claims to prevent some of the more serious diseases.

A 30 - 50 ml shot of wheatgrass juice is recommended to stabilise blood sugars, boost red blood cell production, improve circulation and prevent inflammation.

Despite all the health facts and benefits that fans of wheatgrass share, there is no medical evidence that these claims are true. Research studies claim otherwise; wheatgrass has no effect on preventing diseases. Detoxifying the body is also not in its potential.

How safe is wheatgrass?

Wheatgrass has varied versions of claims, suggestions and opinions when it comes to health benefits and disease preventing.

Although there are no evidences provided by research studies, it is praised and hyped by many proponents about its health claims.

Generally wheatgrass is considered safe. The freshly squeezed raw juice shot is the common form of consumption. If you have grass allergy, gluten intolerance, or any other medical conditions; then it is always a better choice to consult your physician.

Wheatgrass is grown on soil and water and since it is consumed raw, there are chances of the grass being contaminated by bacteria or mold. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use wheatgrass.
