Himalaya Herbals Kajal Review
I usually apply Kajal
prepared by my mother herself. But unfortunately it was empty and I had to try Kajal available in the market. I randomly picked
this small pack of Himalaya Herbals.
Claims of Himalaya Herbals Kajal:
Enriched with Damask Rose and Triphala,
Himalaya's herbal Kajal combines traditional ingredients like Almond Oil
and Castor Oil with Damask Rose for cooling and nourishing the eyes. Triphala,
a unique herbal composite of three power-packed berries, adds luster, making
the eyes look bright and attractive.
Key
ingredients:
- Almond Oil nourishes the lashes and also acts as an anti-aging agent for the eyelids.
- Camphor aids in retaining eye moisture, which helps keep the eyes hydrated.
- Castor Oil is an emollient or skin softener. It also acts as a protective barrier between the skin and harsh environmental conditions such as wind, dust and dry air.
- Damask Rose is known for its cooling properties, which help overcome eye strain.
- Triphala, a herbal concoction of the Indian Gooseberry, Inknut and Beleric Myrobalan fruits, is a well-known eye tonic. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce eye redness and swelling.
Directions
for use: Apply Kajal along
the lash line.
Shelf Life: 3 years
Price and Quantity: Rs 45 for 1g
My Experience With Himalaya Herbals Kajal:
Package: Transparent
plastic roll/tube with a plastic cap wrapped with green cover with claims and
conditions written. The plastic roll/tube is not strong enough and is easily
breakable.
Nature: The Kajal is
extra smooth and soft, and is shiny dark blackish. The shine over black makes
the black look dull. It stays for quite long about 3 to 4 hours. When it starts
fading, it does spread out a little under the eye.
There is no cooling effect when this kajal is applied, but it does not produce any allergies. I apply this along with my contact lens. Even then it did not give any irritation.
Pros of Himalaya Herbals Kajal:
- No allergies or irritation.
- Stays for quite long.
- Reasonable price and easily available in all stores.
Cons of Himalaya Herbals Kajal:
- More of shine than the dense black.
- Packed with low quality fibre.
- Smudges to quite extent.
- No cooling effect
Rating: 3/5
Recommendation:My mother's home made
kajal is the best one for me. This one is just a buffer.
